Alakaʻi O Kauaʻi Public Charter School is beyond grateful to receive two grants from the Chan Zuckerberg Kauaʻi Community Fund of the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation (HCF) this year.

One of the grants will support the school’s work through unrestricted funding which will help provide extra enrichments and materials for project-based learning. The additional grant will be used to fund a new roof on the much-needed campus gymnasium.

We’ve had issues with the gym roof leaking over the years and this grant allows us to address that problem and keep a safe and active athletic environment for our keiki and learning community for years to come. We can’t thank the Chan-Zuckerberg’s enough! Mahalo for caring for our island and being generous enough to support our keiki!
