Weekly Walaʻau: Fueling Curiosity at the Winter Book Fair and Happy Holiday Season

Aloha kākou ‘Ohana!

As we approach our winter break, we were thrilled to host our School Book Fair on Friday, December 19th! Literacy is a cornerstone of our mission, providing our learners with the essential tools to explore new perspectives and strengthen their academic foundation (Pono). Fostering a deep love for reading is a shared Kuleana (responsibility) between school and home. Whether it’s a guide for a future PBL project or a story that builds empathy and Aloha, a good book is a powerful companion for growth. We encourage all our families to stop by, browse the selection, and help our keiki find a story to enjoy as they “Sharpen the Saw” over the holidays.

Enjoy your holiday season in all the ways that matter to your family, and we will see you all fully recharged in January. Mahalo nui loa for your continued support in building a community of lifelong Alaka’i learners!

Mahalo Nui Loa,
The Alaka’i Leadership Team
