Aloha mai kakou to the Alaka’i O Kaua’i Charter School learning community and I hope this November message finds you all in good health and happiness.
In this season of gratitude, it’s important to reflect on the contributions of others who have graciously volunteered their time, energy, and enthusiasm to improve our school. Mahalo nui to the great people who serve on our Na Hoa O Alaka’i Parent Teacher Network for your limitless work over the years to enhance the experiences for our learners.
A perfect example of their volunteerism is the monthly Hot Lunch offered by Na Hoa O Alaka’i Parent Teacher Network. Hosting the Hot Lunch involves significant time and effort including ordering, picking up, organizing, and then distributing food to around 200 people. The service provided is quick, efficient, and greatly enjoyed by our learners each month.
The annual Lights On Rice Parade is approaching quickly and taking place on Friday, December 6th. Alaka’i O Kaua’i Charter School has been fortunate to participate in this festive event under the guidance of the Na Hoa O Alaka’i Parent Teacher in past years. We appreciate the hard work that goes into being part of the parade and look forward to this year’s entry. Please watch for additional details and information about this event in the coming weeks.
Our Na Hoa O Alaka’i Parent Teacher Network is always looking for new members so if interested please contact the school and we will cheerfully assist in connecting everyone.
Best wishes to you all for a wonderful week ahead. Malama pono.
