Weekly Walaʻau: 5th Grade PBL Craft Fair Success

Aloha kākou! This week, we celebrated a fantastic demonstration of academic rigor and entrepreneurship as our 5th-grade class hosted their annual PBL Craft Fair.

This project was a prime example of PBLWorks Gold Standard in action, requiring learners to move beyond the classroom to meet a real-world need. Students applied their learning in design, production costs, marketing, and sales, and demonstrated the value of Pono (integrity) in delivering a quality product. Every learner took on full Kuleana (ownership) for their booth, learning valuable lessons in responsibility and financial literacy. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the authentic learning that took place!

Mahalo nui loa to all the ‘Ohana members who supported this learner-led venture!

Mahalo Nui Loa,
