Aloha Alaka’i ‘Ohana,
As we settle back into our routines following Hurricane Lowell, we want to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the incredible community workers, emergency responders, utility crews, police officers, and volunteers across Kaua’i.
Their tireless efforts to clear blocked roadways, clear storm debris, restore power, and assist neighborhoods across our island allowed our school to reopen safely and welcome our keiki back to campus.
This island-wide recovery effort has truly embodied our Aloha Value of the Month, Lōkahi (unity expressed with harmony). As the ʻōlelo noʻeau reminds us, “ʻAʻohe hana nui ke alu ʻia”—no task is too big when done together by all.
Mahalo nui loa to everyone who worked tirelessly to support our island and keep our school community safe!
With gratitude,
Po’okumu Paul Zina & the Alaka’i O Kaua’i ‘Ohana
