Director Paul’s Message

E Mālama Pono Kākou—A Deep Mahalo to Our ʻOhana!

Aloha Kākou Alakaʻi O Kauaʻi ʻOhana!

As our 2025-2026 school year has come to a close, we are filled with deep mahalo (gratitude) for every member of our school family. This has been another truly remarkable year, and it is because of the dedication, kuleana (responsibility), and partnership of our learners, families, staff, and Board of Directors that we keep Alaka’i O Kaua’i Charter School a very special place. We celebrate the accomplishments of our keiki, the hard work of our kumu, and the unwavering support from our entire ʻohana. We sincerely appreciate the community spirit that guides our school, the “heart of it all,” which is strengthened every day by your commitment.

Staffing and Summer Updates:

As we transition into the summer months, our administrative team is working diligently to prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, including finalizing our staffing needs.

We are currently working through the process of extending and securing commitments with offer letters and are focused on filling any vacancies across our campus. As this process continues and commitments are confirmed, we will provide updates to the school community on our faculty and staff via Parent Square. Our goal is to continue providing the highest quality instruction and support to ensure our learners have a strong start this fall.

We wish you a wonderful and restorative break. Enjoy this time to slow down, connect with your loved ones, and recharge for the journey ahead.

Mahalo and malama pono,
Po’okumu Paul
