Hau’oli La Pakoa to the good people in the learning community of Alaka’i O Kaua’i Charter School, and I hope this message finds you enjoying the conclusion of the Easter Long Weekend.

Alaka’i O Kaua’i Charter School is incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated and talented staff who go above and beyond to share their expertise with our learners. A perfect example of this work will be on full display on campus on Friday, April 25th, at our annual Sports Spectacular Showcase in the gymnasium. You may already be aware that our school offers girls’ basketball, boys’ basketball, and cheer teams to our learners free of charge. The showcase will feature volleyball this year since we added the Volleyball Club this winter. All these sports will be part of the Sports Spectacular Showcase this Friday.

Great gratitude to Ms. Kate, Kumu Nouveau, Ms. Cheyenne, Ms. Leia (Board of Directors Vice Chair), and Coach Dan (Board of Directors Treasurer) for their countless hours of volunteer service to these programs. Alaka’i O Kaua’i Charter Schools outperforms any other Elementary or Middle School on the island by offering these free opportunities for our learners.

Please feel free to come to campus and enjoy this special annual event with us. The games will begin at 11 am, and everything should conclude by 12:30 pm. Mr. Paul Zina, our incoming Director for the 2025-2026 school year, will also be in attendance, so you can have an opportunity to meet him as well.
