Ms. Bejay
Born and raised in Minneapolis, Bejay moved to Kauai in 2021. She began her teaching career in 2013 after earning both a degree and a master’s degree in education from the University of Minnesota. She taught for seven years in Minneapolis Public Schools at an environmental magnet school, with outdoor education and play based learning at the forefront of all learning. She continued her career on Kauai, teaching second grade on the west side for the past three years.
With a focus on teaching English language learners, social emotional learning, and project based learning, Bejay is dedicated to making learning accessible through diverse and engaging modalities. She continuously seeks innovative ways to motivate and inspire her students.
In her free time, Bejay enjoys reading, surfing, playing pickleball, and spending quality moments with friends, family, and her chihuahua, named Chito. She is excited and grateful to be joining the team at Alaka’i o Kauai Charter School this year.
