Logan Hamzi

7th Grade Facilitator

Mr. Logan considers himself lucky to have found the career he was meant to have so soon after completing his undergraduate degree. He earned his B.A. in Geology-Biology from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and has been teaching since graduating in 1998. He has taught in 6 different states, working with grade levels ranging from elementary age through college, and led an alternative high school program for 2 years in the mountains of Colorado. Somewhere in there he earned his M.S. in Earth Science: Geology from the University of New Hampshire, defending his thesis on paleomagnetism in 2003.

He met his then-girlfriend, now wife, in New Hampshire before settling in Colorado for 20 years. Together they have 2 wonderful children who have also joined the amazing community of Alaka’i O Kaua’i. Mr. Logan and his wife have felt the call from the island since the first moment they set foot upon it. They are incredibly pleased to have finally made the move and to now call it their home.
