Erika Bates

Miss Erika moved to Kauai five years ago and has been hiking, surfing, and adventuring on the island ever since. For the past four years at Alaka’i O Kaua’i, she has been passionate about encouraging children in their academic and social-emotional growth.

She has felt so fulfilled the past four years in assisting the amazing teachers, watching the learners flourish, and building meaningful relationships with the kiddos that she has been inspired to have a classroom of her own one day. She recently began a teaching program and is beyond grateful that she will have the opportunity to continue to be a light for children in her career. Being able to make a difference in her student’s lives has been her greatest accomplishment.
