Wala’au Weekly Update: Rooted in Aloha – Our New School Farmstand!
We are excited to introduce a wonderful new addition to our campus: the Alakai ‘o Kauai School Farmstand! Located right in front of the school, this initiative is a true reflection of our commitment to community, sustainability, and the spirit of Aloha.
The farmstand is free for all learners daily and operates on a simple, heart-led principle: “Bring what you grow, take what you like.” Here is how our ‘ohana can get involved:
- Share the Abundance: If your home garden has extra fruit or vegetables, contributions are greatly appreciated!
- Enjoy the Harvest: Learners are welcome to take fresh items from the stand to enjoy.
- Community First: Please remember that contributions are not necessary to participate—this is a gift for all our learners.
We are so proud to see our school community growing together. Mahalo to everyone who helped bring this project to life and to those who continue to keep it “Rooted in Aloha” with their garden extras!
Mahalo and malama pono.
