Ms. Ellen

Kindergarten Facilitator

Ellen was born outside of Chicago and moved with her family to California when she was 8 years old. She graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in art and received her teaching credential from the same university a few years later. Ellen began her teaching career as a bilingual kindergarten teacher and then transferred to a parent participation/project-based learning school until she moved to Kauai in 2004. She has taught many different grades and subjects over the years, but her heart is in kindergarten, where she began.

When she is not at school, Ellen enjoys being with her family and friends, surfing, gardening, and landscape painting. She is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Alaka’i o Kaua’i ohana.
