Two Sundays ago, I was fortunate enough to attend the Desperado Orchestra Music Ensemble Spring Music Recital. Some of our learners participated in the recital, which was held at Elele Elementary School. After watching our learners participate, I realized that we need to start a music program at our school next year.
Three of our learners received an award for practicing for at least 1,000 minutes or over. The recognized learners are: Andrew James (AJ), Makayla Timko, and Raegan Baldwin. Hopefully, more of our learners will participate in this music recital next year at our school.
In order to get instruments and other items we will need to have a music program that many of our learners can participate in (Kindergarten through sixth grade) can participate in, we will be doing some fundraising. We will keep you posted and look forward to more performing arts opportunities to our school. Your support in such a fundraiser is greatly appreciated. Mahalo!
Thank you,
