Director Paul’s Message

Aloha Alakaʻi Ohana!

We are proud to celebrate the significant development of ‘ike Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian knowledge) among our 4th-grade learners. This past week, the 4th-grade classes engaged in powerful, hands-on learning, including field trips to the Alakoko fish pond to participate in restoration efforts, fostering a deep connection to our local cultural and ecological heritage. Additionally, our learners demonstrated patience expressed with perseverance (Ahonui) as they worked to build their own hoe waʻa (canoe paddles). Working in teams, they used them to actually paddle out in the water, reinforcing the commitment to project-based learning we value at our school.

Mahalo nui loa for supporting these vital experiences for our keiki.
Po’okumu Paul
